Arinto dos Açores
The base wine for this sparkling wine was made exclusively with the Arinto dos Açores grape variety from the Candelária area, just a few meters from the sea. Spontaneous fermentation in a stainless steel tank. The second fermentation took place in the bottle using the classic method for 7 weeks, at a temperature of 12ºC. Dégorgement was done in December 2023.
Fine and persistent bubble. As in previous editions, this sparkling wine also clearly shows its origin. The notes of seaweed, iodine and salty air are mixed with some breadiness resulting from the long aging with free yeasts, during the 48 months in the bottle. When tasting, the bubble is very elegant, balanced and involving the very refreshing natural acidity that the wine has. It finishes long and with a salty sensation.
